Silent Fields

For two years I photographed and documented the battlefields and landscapes in Flanders Fields in an aesthetic and historical way. The best images were published in my first photo book:  'Silent Fields - Memorial sites of the Great War'.

In this book I give a contemporary impression of these historic locations and events. As well as the historic element I also focus on the aesthetic aspect of the commemoration. The result is an original photobook with a unique perspective and approx. 150 pictures of military cemeteries, battle sites and landscapes.
